Pig Roast
The Boulder Flycasters will be hosting a Pig Roast on June 3rd, 2017 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Harlow Platts Park Pavilion in South Boulder.
The evening events will include:
– Dinner and Drinks
– Fly Casting Competition
– Launch of a new citizen science program with the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at CU Boulder
All proceeds will go towards conservation and restoration projects in the Boulder Creek Watershed.
The Boulder Flycasters will be working with CIRES to build a data set of local alpine lakes using backcountry anglers and backpackers to gather the data. There will be a short introduction to the project, training and instruction on using the monitoring equipment at the Pig Roast.
